Health is our basic foundation. Life is not worth living without good health. Health is a state of physical, mental, and social well-being. It comprises the control, coordination, and function of our mind and body in a synchronized manner.
Mental health is about maintaining a good and healthy state of mind. It means balancing the state of mind with its proper application and usage in the right direction.
MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WITH THE CHANGING TIMES:
In earlier days people were less acquainted with it. They were less aware of its causes, symptoms, and its effects. The importance of mental health was not the primary focus at that point because of the lack of awareness among the people. They considered mental health a part of health.
But nowadays, with the changing and evolving times, mental health has been of utmost priority. People are getting more and more aware of how mental health can get effected and how important it is to maintain mental health.
Mental health has gained a lot of awareness in today's world. Many helplines, websites, foundations, and charities are working to help those having mental health-related issues and problems. By considering their advice and seeking remedies, those suffering from mental health-related issues are improving in their life. It is necessary to emphasize the importance of mental health to know about how and what are the ways by which mental health gets affected. Mental health in itself is of primary concern to make people aware and realize the importance and need to have a balanced and healthy state of mind.
CAUSES OF DETERIORATING MENTAL HEALTH:
There is no specific reason for the declining mental health state or having poor mental health condition. Mental health can get affected by any ongoing situation in life.
Mental health is effected in various ways. The declining mental health state results from OVERTHINKING.
OVERTHINKING :
In today's world, when it's becoming hard and competitive enough to survive through day-to-day life challenges and expectations, stress starts brewing in the mind leading to cause of worries about things and ongoing situations in life. It leads to overthinking.
- Overthinking can be from any ongoing personal to professional issues directly effecting the peace of mind. It can be in source of misunderstanding and trust issues, betrayal, disloyalty, jealousy, selfishness, or any other aspect influencing deep down focus of the mind leading to its disturbance.
- Overthinking leads to anxiousness that makes the mind more and more depressed and tense and gives the feeling of pain, grief, sadness, and loneliness that paves the way to high anxiety levels and depression.
EFFECTS OF DETERIORATING MENTAL HEALTH:
The effects of a declining mental health state can be felt in the following manner -
- It can be felt through physical stress as the body starts feeling overloaded and burdened with stress prevailing inside.
- It can be felt through mental exhaustion when we cannot put our mind in the right direction and are unable to make and rightfully make decisions.
- Losing interest in doing daily stuff and work is an indication of feeling overthinking and worried about something leading to an influenced mental health state.
- Feeling unhappy, tensed, and stressed all the time with the losing spirit of enthusiasm also contributes to making mental health to an average level.
- The mind then becomes anxious enough all the time. Overthinking leads to anxiety. Anxiety starts building up on excessive thinking and continuous application of the mind to something. It then causes stress and mental trauma and leads to depression when we are unable to express ourselves and our inner feelings to others.
Even there are many more signs and symptoms of having bad to worse mental health conditions that cannot be felt other than the survivor of mental health-related problems.
BUT THE QUESTION IS-
HOW MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES CAN BE TREATED??
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT WAYS OF IMPROVING THE MENTAL HEALTH CONDITIONS?
- Having a visit to a Psychologist or any Psychiatrist or Physiotherapist can help in treating in the best way.
- Avoid overthinking about anything. Do not think about things that are beyond your control and expectations. It effects the mind and body. It decreases the mental strength to deal with any other things and issues of life.
- Avoid interactions with those people and things that are contributing factors to your declining mental health state.
- Do those things which contain your interest. Doing things of self-interest brings out inner peace and happiness.
- Spend time with yourself as much as possible, so you can understand your inner self and figure out your self-perspective of life.
CONCLUSION -
It's necessary to speak about what's going on in your mind, how you feel about something, and what's your take on some issues. It is important to maintain peace and calmness within oneself, to maintain a good state of mind and body.
Life is about living for self. It's not about sinking others thoughts and opinions and manipulating self in the way they want to. Do not imbibe others thinking, views, and opinions in yourself. Do not disturb your state of mind for the sake of others. Nothing is more precious than maintaining your mental peace. Do things good for yourself and give a sense of relief to yourself in things you do.
People suffering from anxiety and depression need more concern and care. Try to listen to their views and ideas and try to understand them from their perspective.
